than amniotic, ascites, CSF, pleural, synovial.
Fluid type must be specified. (Place order
specific to specimen when available.)

Interpretive Guidelines: Glucose Body Fluid
Pericardial Fluid:
Glucose levels in pericardial fluid may be decreased in comparison
with serum glucose levels in cases of bacterial endocarditis and
malignant effusions.
There is no established reference range for fluid glucose.
