Interpretive Guidelines:
LDH levels in synovial fluid have been found to be increased in
patients with RA, infectious arthritis, and gout. This is
likely reflective of the leukocyte infiltrate. LDH activity is
typically normal in patients with osteoarthritis.
There is no established reference range for fluid LDH.
